Email Settings
Step 1: Log in to the Admin Panel
- Open your web browser and go to your WordPress admin login page.
- Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
Step 2: Navigate to Email Settings
- In the WordPress admin dashboard, locate QuickBuildWP in the left-hand menu.
- Click on Dashboard.
- Select Email Settings.
Step 3: Enter SMTP Credentials
You will need to enter the following SMTP settings, which you can obtain from your hosting provider:- SMTP Host: (e.g., smtp.yourhost.com)
- Port: (e.g., 465 for SSL or 587 for TLS)
- Encryption: (SSL/TLS or None)
- Username: (Your email account username)
- Password: (Your email account password)
Step 4: Get SMTP Credentials from Your Hosting Provider
To retrieve SMTP credentials, follow these steps based on your hosting provider:For cPanel Users:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Navigate to Email Accounts under the Email section.
- Locate the email account you want to use and click Connect Devices.
- Note down the SMTP Host, Port, Username, and Encryption type.
For Other Hosting Providers:
- Log in to your hosting provider’s control panel.
- Look for Email Settings or SMTP Configuration.
- Copy the provided SMTP details.
- If you cannot find these details, contact your hosting provider’s support team.
Step 5: Test Your Email Configuration
- After entering your SMTP credentials in QuickBuildWP’s Email Settings, save the changes.
- Scroll down to find the Send Test Email option.
- Enter an email address (use the admin email configured in WordPress under Settings -> General).
- Click Send Test Email.
- Check your email inbox for the test message.
Updating the Admin Email Address
If you need to change the admin email address:- Go to Settings -> General in your WordPress dashboard.
- Update the Email Address field.
- Click Save Changes.
- Verify the new email address by clicking the confirmation link sent to it.
